i was doing it again. thinking i was in a dry spell writing-wise, cuz of all this administrative-phonecall-bullcrap.... but now i realize i've been building up at least 5 new songs in my spare moments. they didn't really feel like songs at the time... or rather, i didn't notice them so much. Now i listen back to my minidisc and frankly, am relieved (and delighted). Although I think i'm getting more multi-personality as time goes on... some of the songs are more stripped, others sound like i've been listening to No Doubt and Matthew Good. (which, i haven't been listening to No Doubt so really it's only my cloudy reference and real No Doubt fans would balk at me saying this if they heard the actual tunes)...(but i did listen to Matthew Good fairly regularly in my car for a period of a month or two last year...)
