saw a very powerful movie last night - The Pianist. It is about a polish pianist in the second world war... personal parallels for me being the polish and pianist parts. Directed by Roman Polanski. It's not the type of movie you walk away from saying "I loved it, it was so good!!!" - it's more the type that you walk away from with a horrified sort of awe. I think it's very timely that a movie about war (and what it can do to real innocent people) is out in theatres right now... I hope that many people see it.

i've lost an important CDR.... i should have backed it up months ago... kept telling myself i would next time... next time... when i got more blank cds... shit. looking all over the place, found the long lost jewel case for the Coldplay - Parachutes album but NO IMPORTANT CDR. The next time i procrastinate over backing a CD up, someone please smack me.

*sigh* for intimate live venues whose owners turn them into sports bars... *sigh* for venues who lose their electricity halfway through a set! ... yay for us for pulling it off anyways... yay for everyone who came to the show and made it great.
