well it's been a couple weeks since my last journal entry. i went through a bit of a writer's block and it made me pretty depressed. lots of existential questions, etc. so, anyone who is reading this, i won't bore you with the details. i seem to have "powered through" and have written 3 songs this week. I'm in love with my new word processor and have been taking the laptop to coffeeshops and sitting for hours drinking tea and, finally, my first eggnog latte of the season.

i'm pretty in denial about the holidays. it still feels like september to me. how can it be that time moves so quickly? every year it gets worse and worse, and i don't seem to get any more prepared.

i'm looking forward to the cd release party this saturday. this will be my last headlining show in toronto for the year... i hope i'm gonna get to see a lot of friends there that i haven't seen in a while.
