had an allergy test today and almost fainted afterwards. don't know why all the problems with pins and needles lately. turns out i have none (allergies). back to the drawing board.
a quiet morning... working on a song. the travelling has been fun but exhausting lately and i'm trying to get plenty of down-time in between. i've decided to book off 2 whole weeks in august to write... i need a big wasteland of time and lately my days keep getting eaten up by many little silly but unavoidable things. hah. who needs to grocery shop anyways??

it's a sleepy afternoon in ottawa... we got in yesterday and played a show at chapters, then had a nice dinner in the hotel room... i've been experimenting with no coffee (yikes!) due to the fact that i'm constantly dealing with heavily air conditioned places these last few weeks, and it's really hard on my hydration... my throat was feeling raw yesterday morning but i've been drinking tonnes of water and herbal tea and it's much smoother now. now just to get past the caffeine withdrawel! :)

it's nice to be back here... ottawa is a really nice city full of cultured intelligent people, and the architecture down here near the chapters is so beautiful... some of it reminds me of streets in vienna. we're getting ready to check out of the hotel and head over to chapters, where i play again tonight and then we have a late night drive home to toronto, and then an early morning tomorrow to get out and play a double show day in burlington. looking forward to returning there... it's always such a friendly place.

yesterday we journeyed home from montreal, a long drive in the unforgiving sun. i took to sheltering myself from the light with rest stop napkins. took today as basically a recouperatoin day, tho i did some writing and tried my first ever spin class at the gym... yikes. after the first 2/3 of the class i stopped feeling like i was gonna puke and kinda settled in... think i'll try it again!

prescription-power antihistamines + big blood test = blacking out [unconcious] on clinic floor.

hope i'm not allergic to the air... worried that we might have to leave the city but don't want to think about that yet. one step at a time.
