it was an unbelievable, magical night. the last show of the year, and after soundcheck Marc proposed to me!! so many friends came, it became a big impromptu engagement party. so much love and warmth from everyone in the room... set to music by my friends... courtney and ben, james and aleza, it was more than we could have asked for. i will always remember it, for again, the only word i can use to describe it is "magic".

what a crazy week it's been. It was application deadline week (i was applying for funding for my next record, from two different organizations). I've been working on the applications all month really, but in the last week, it was many hours of my day, until the last day, when i was pretty much done, then something strange and unexpected happened at 7pm the night before the deadline and i had to rewrite a LOT of it. Marc was my hero... he stayed up with me and over a few redbulls we got it done... but didn't really get much sleep that night - we were photocopying and binding at kinko's at 5am.

it was a good feeling handing everything in... like a weight off my shoulders. then i went straight to a rehearsal for tonight's show, and it made me forget about how tired i was... lots of fun! :) i think tonight's gonna be a really fun show, and will be a great way to end the tour - back home with all my friends! :)
