having some ups and downs with mixing.. it's really hard having to be so deeply involved with every single aspect of the record... and i'm sure i'm losing perspective. (the correct term is "unspooling"). anyways, lately there have been a couple areas that showed up that needed some extra guitar... stuff which i hear my friend James doing but which means waiting for him to get back into town from the tour he's on, etc... which automatically feels like sort of a setback (in the way that it means more time) but that's the price you pay to make a the best record you can. it sucks tho, because i do miss playing shows... i miss writing new songs. i might have to book some stuff to do before this record is released...in some ways i feel like i'm rotting away here in the studio.
