well i'm scheduled for one more mixing day at the studio on thursday... and getting married on monday! as you can imagine... it's pretty crazy hectic around here. i haven't had time to put together a newsletter but i updated some performance dates on myspace so check it out. i'll be awol for a week or two but when i get back there should be some more news about the record. (hopefully being, that i'm done mixing, for real!). :)

i'm happy to report that i am in the final stages of mixing... since my last post i returned to toronto and dug into remixing some of the tunes, and one song took center stage as being a stellar mix, thus prompting me to go back and rework the other tunes to meet the newly set "standard". Many long, long days later i feel like the songs are sounding pretty fantastic. i can foresee being ready to master by the end of the week. i'm so happy! :) and it's almost a little scary!

i took the current mixes down to the shore today and listened to them while watching the water. it was really peaceful, i love the feeling of being just a tiny speck on the face of something so big. however on the way there, i wiped out on my bike in the middle of an intersection... but after doing some reconstructive surgury on the bike i continued on with scraped hands and all. i was determined to listen to those mixes! :)
