Coleman, AB

I'm writing from the beautiful little town of Coleman Alberta. The drive here was amazing yesterday, but getting started took a little work. We had to devise a strategy to attach our suitcases to the roof via bungie cords, which we're so grateful to Marco from the Ironwood for lending to us (and also helping to actually get the damn things attached well to the roof rack). No sooner had we got it rigged up, did it start to lightly rain so we bolted to a home depot and bought a tarp, which we then had to also figure out how to attach... (this was a little easier though). By this time the wind was getting pretty strong, whipping up a crazy amount of dust. I literally was wiping a layer of grainy dust off my face the entire drive.

After grabbing lunch at a nearby grocery store, we hit the highway and fought through rush hour traffic until we got to the open road... and it was a truly amazing drive. The terrain went from rolling to small mountains. We drove past a place where there had obviously been a massive landslide... and then the road had been built around and through the rubble.

The show itself was fun... the people of Coleman were really warm and friendly!

More adventures today... I'll keep you posted.
