I just spent a week in a cottage on beautiful Georgian Bay, making a record for Hamilton-based duo Ash & Bloom. This record is a joint production effort with Marc Rogers and I have co-written a couple songs with Ash & Bloom that you will no doubt be hearing soon! In the meantime, you can follow our progress on Ash & Bloom’s twitter.

Marc and I are also in mid-production on a record for former Toronto jazz vocalist Larra Skye, who is now moving in a more acoustic/folk/pop direction. More on this to come!

I am also producing and writing songs for a new pop artist named Jasmyn, who recently received a generous FACTOR grant, as well as a couple new singles for Julie C.

OK… gotta go, time to make some music!

Emma-Lee‘s long-awaited album Backseat Heroine is available on iTunes and in stores as of today, released on eOne Music Canada. The record was one of the major projects I worked on in the past year, being that it was co-produced by myself, Marc Rogers and Emma-Lee and contains 2 songs I co-wrote, Figure It Out and Shadow Of A Ghost. Emma-Lee‘s Shot In The Dark is back on the iTunes charts this month, recently hitting #34 on the top Jazz singles in the USA and #28 in Greece. The song originally hit the charts in October 2011 when it appeared on Lifetime Network’s reality show Dance Moms, at that time peaking at #22 in the US and #11 in Greece. It has also inspired a series of tribute Youtube videos by young fans of the show – featuring everything from solo and group dance routines that the young girls choreographed themselves to homemade commercials for Britney Spears perfume… super cute!
