The Runout
I’m looking at your face, listening to your mouth
There must be some mistake, cuz i can’t figure out
What I saw in you I no longer see
Now the honest truth weighs so heavy
Every time we try we fail
Every step we take we just fall
The reasons are wearing thin
Excuses no longer fit
I’ve hit the wall
This is the breaking point, this is THE RUNOUT
This is me moving on, this is me getting out
It’s far to late, and so overdue
Time for change, time for leaving you
This is me learning that this ain’t what love’s about
This is THE RUNOUT
Whether good or bad, there’s always an end
There are no unfinished stories, there’s only pretend
In every line that we crossed
In every plan we put off
It could have been obvious
Now looking back on this
Why did it take so long
This is the breaking point, this is THE RUNOUT
This is me moving on, this is me getting out
It’s far to late, and so overdue
Time for change, time for leaving you
This is me learning that this ain’t what love’s about
This is THE RUNOUT
Of patience, and time, and all of my energy
Feels like my heart has stopped like a dead battery
There is no breathing life back to it anymore
We’ve runout of lies and runout of fantasies
Runout of ways to hide the reality;
It’s time to leave
This is the breaking point, this is THE RUNOUT
This is me moving on, this is me getting out
It’s far to late, and so overdue
Time for change, time for leaving you
This is me learning that this ain’t what love’s about
This is THE RUNOUT
