Produced by Karen Kosowski, "Rise Up Redux" is a modern country-genre re-imagining of The Parachute Club's 1983 signature hit "Rise Up".
Seventeen Canadian country artists came together, as The Common Cause Collective, to bring new life to a song with a message that continues to resonate 35 years after it was first recorded. Among the artists lending their voices are Gord Bamford, Meghan Patrick, Tim Hicks, Kira Isabella, Brett Kissel, Jess Moskaluke, Madelin Merlo, Jason McCoy, The Washboard Union.
The original “Rise Up,” produced by Daniel Lanois, appeared on Parachute Club’s 1983 self-titled debut album. A Top 10 hit in Canada, it was named Single of the Year at the Juno Awards in 1984.
Rise Up Redux will debut at the Canadian Country Music Awards in September.
